We have an Avaya IPO Server Edition, release 9_0_0.185

We just tried to upgrade the IPO SE to 9_0_2.085

After upgrade, web manager comes back online, voicemail pro comes back on line, system is upgraded to 9_0_2.085 but when you try to start the IP Office service is starts BUT then STOPS 5 seconds later.

Bad.

Help.

Thank you.

Is this problem scaring off all the Tek-Tip greats?

Sorry if I've missed any of you others.

Calling all you guys out by name. haha.

Basically we have a dead production IPO, it sucks. I knew we shouldn't mess with the latest and greatest for production purposes.

IP Office service starts and then stops every 5 seconds. IPO Server Edition dead in water.

Tekfree, i have no idea.
And to be honest i have remove my schedule to upgrade it tomorrow.
I will try it on a test server first later this weekend.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

OK,

We got it up and working. Here is what we had to do.

We logged in via SSH and told the IPO SE to run the old ISO.

Running the upgrade / downgrade didn't work. We had to type it out via command line to run the old files.

In short, downgrading the IPO SE fixed it.

I'll let someone else try upgrading and tell me how you get it to work. :)

Thanks guys.

Funny the upgrade was done even when i removed the schedule :)
I started the upgrade with the schedule so i guess that was what happened.
Also funny enough the upgrade went fine and all is working as it should (as far as i can tell)

Tekfree,

I am trying to downgrade a SE at service pack 2 back down to service pack 1. I cannot find the correct command line. I am in Putty at the Admin> prompt
Any ideas what I would enter for this? Thanks in advance!
