Can't start Gimp 2 on Windows

I installed Gimp 2.0 on my Windows NT system, but whenever I try to start it, it aborts with the message "Couldn't load font MS Sans Serif 8, falling back to Sans 8".

MS Sans Serif is installed on my system, so can anybody tell me what could be wrong here?

Uninstall GTK and reinstall without WIMP option. The font you listed is not true type and therefore not compatible.
