I have upgraded our in house system to 4.1.

SIP now doesn't work. One way transission on both my providers!! Will look at this later.

More importantly, our vm if working properly but the VM Client will not show the database!! All my custom call flows do what they should but the CLient shows a default blank databse. my .mdb backup has disapeared also so can't even put it back in not sure if it didn't save properly when I exported the config.

Any ideas how to get this back. It must be there as it works but can't see it!!!

I wish there was aarenot.

Unless someone knows a way to reverse engineer the root.vmp back to the VMData.mdb!!!!!!

Im sure when you dial into a site and download the config remotly (Not over internal LAN)
It takes the settings from the root and not the MDB.

Any way you can dial into your own IP Office and add a remote account on the VM console and see if that allows you to see your config..

I will try that on Monday. I have tried that over the LAN from my laptop. I will take a PC off our LAN with an ISDN modem and give it a go. If it works you will get as many stars as possible!!! And a couple of pints if you are anywhere near Leeds!!!!!!

Also Jamie why not try installing VM Pro on your laptop and make a copy of your current working root file and drag the file onto the laptop and see what that says. May just be a currupt install of VM Pro or the OS is currupt in some way.

tried that Prov. tried with 4.0 and 4.1 installed and no joy with either.

I know I can rewrite this, although it will take a while, but I would like to get this to work incase something like this ever happens again.

If it was a customer site I would have rewritten this as soon as it happened but as it is my v/m and I can give myself as much time as I like I wanted to play around and get it reversed.

Jamie, do me a favor to satisfy my curiosity. Look in your wavs folder for anything that might look like the backup even if it doesn't have an .mdb ext

No joy at all with this. A RAS through the IPO doesn't make any difference-was worth a shot!!!!!

Don't think there is a way to reverse the root.vmp>vmdata.mdb.

Never mind. I like retyping databases!!!!!!!
