I've installed Visual Studio 6 enterprise in my W2000 (w/SP3), but when I run VB6.exe, I get this .. Program has generated error and will shut down.. message and vb6 will not run. Does anyone know what's the problem and how to solve?

I've installed the same copy when I had Win 98, and Win 2000. It even worked with Win 2000 with SP1. Now the same copy of the software would not work with Win 2000 SP3. I've installed VS6SP5, still doesn't work.

The reason I am mentioning the OS is because that seems to be the only difference then what I had before (including every options I chose while installing VS6). It maybe something else, like, MDAC or ODBC/JET driver incompabilities. Any suggestion is appreciated.

I just installed SP3 on a Windows 2000Pro machine and VB6 runs fine for me.

I have installed/re-installed several times. First time I installed, I even had Roxio GoBack running, and when VB6 didn't work, I put back my computer exactly the way it was prior to installing VS6, then installed again. Then I installed SP5 for Visual Studio6 with no result.

From the general error message, it is hard to even guess what cold be the problem.
