Can't run programs!

Ever since installing the newest version of the Flight Simulator game, I cannot access certain programs including a Digital Editing Program, Outlook Express, and some Internet Flash games. I have tried running these programs but I get a run time error involving Microsoft Visual C++, and that each program has terminated in an unusual way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please ask for more information if you need it!

Did you get this game from KaZaa? You may have a virus or spyware if you downloaded it. Just a thought.

No I got this game from a store. Brand New

I did a quick google search and came up with thispage:

Scroll down to "Coast-Line-Maker Troubleshooting". It has a few known issues where you can download patch files. Check that out and maybe do a little more google searching with the exact error you are recieving to try to find the fix!

Unfortunately, those were patches for Flight Simulator 2002. I have purchased Flight Simulator A Century in Flight, the newest version.

Are you absolutely sure that the problems are connected? Try uninstalling flight simulator completely and see if you still get these errors.

What OS are you using? If it is 2000 or XP you may want to check the event viewer. It could offer a clue.
