Can't Run Program

I got 3D Studio Max, but for some reason, when I try to run it it says 'Hardware lock is not attached, or using the wrong hardware lock, or the lock drivers are not running'... how do I solve this problem...?!?!

You need to BUY the software and the lock comes with it.
