Version 11 Arcserve on a Win2k server.
When I try to restore files, I can see the session and the folders, but can't drill down to restore an individual file. If I restore the whole directory I can then get the directory and it's contents and get to the file I need. CA's website is utterly useless and probably the worst on the planet....unless you pay a support subscription....

Can anyone give me a clue.... Should I go back to Veritas BackUp Exec ?

HI,

When you say you cannot drill down .. arent you able to expand the + next to the folder?

If not.. when u highlight the folder, do you see the files on the right pane?

did you try using the restore by tree option?

I have tried clicking the + next to the folder, but nothing appears on the right hand pane. I haven't tried restoring by tree. Can I use this option for an individual file ?

If you know the file name, you can use a filter to restore only that file under restore by Backup media.

You can even use Restore by Query and define a query to include only that file.
