Hi all

At the moment we have a problem with our website.
We don't host our Web, some pcs at work can't get but address.
The rest is OK.
Another thing I should mention is that our website ( is the same with the DNS settng i.e. mywebsite.com in DNS server.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Cheers

So youre saying that some can resolve the ip address but cant resolve the name, yet others are able to resolve the name also? Could it be some stale records out there? Maybe they need to clear their client dns cache?

Hi Cory

Thanks for your reply
Yes, some can resolve the name, some can't, I did try ipconfig /flushdns to clear the dns cache. But it did not help much. Any other ideas? Thanks a lot

Hi Cory

thanks for follow up.
I did check on 2 pcs (working and non-working) by using nslookup, they appeared exactly the same.

Hi there

I had a similar problem some time ago - where our website was hosted and 'A' record pointed at host.

It turned out to be that the workstations in question were not configured to go through the proxy server.

Once configured to use proxy could resolve name.

May be some help.

Jack

Hi Jack

Thanks for your try. This is not my case unfortunately.
However with someone's help, I added (A) record to my DNS Zone corresponding to our website with the IP address, then I am able to resolve by the name.

Once again thank you all for your help and support.

Cheers
