can't reply to outlook express email

I have outlook express and I cannot reply to mail for users outside my domain. I can create new mail for those users outside, but I cannot reply to mail that they send.

Any ideas?

Do you have more than one mail account setup in outlook express (tools>accounts), if so, be sure your default account has the proper smtp.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
