Hi,
A failed program installation has left me unable to remove its remains. The program froze during installation to the point of a hard reset (Dell laptop). I tried add/remove, but it couldn't find uninstall information. There is a directory un Program Files with a couple of .tmp files and other assorted program files. If I tried to remove them, the computer freezes. If I highlight them the computer freezes.
So, I can't add/remove.
I can't manually delete.
Is there a utility that might help me get rid of this program from hell?

tia,
Bill W.

Try booting into safe mode and deleting it from there.
Press F8[b/] on bootup and select it from there.

doh! Overlooking the obvious. Thanks for the kick in the pants. Problem solved.
