nothing happens

The not connected to the computer

(it is a windows 98 system)

lets try it again.

the modem is not connected to the computer.

(it is a windows 98 system)

Try booting into safe mode (can't remember the key combo) and see if you can delete it there. Since it won't be loaded you may be a ble to get rid of it. Otherwise, you'll just have to diable it in all configurations and leave it at that. I had to do that once in a 98 system so it may be a fluke of the programming.

I have done the following:

I started regedit to edit the registry.
than I did a search for the name of the modem.
after that I deleted the driver key which was found.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\SERENUM\USR0007

Now the system start without asking for modem drivers.

problem is solved
