This thing is driving me nuts!! It's a hijacker and popup generator that won't die. Here's what I've tried:

SpyBot Ad-Aware Sysclean MS AntiSpyware SpySweeper CWS HJT

Spent all afternoon on it and no closer to removing it. Does anyone know how before I format & reinstall?

You may want to try "Hijack This" and post results at their site, or at Castle Cops. use google

Start in safe mode and run all of your programs, sometimes this will help greatly.

xit

HJT = HijackThis. I already ran it, in safe mode. It only has 1 related entry and everytime you remove it, it comes right back.

Diogenes10, thanks for the tip. That's a great tool. I paid the $9.95 and had it remove what it could, since I didn't feel like pasting 80 individual files into Killbox. Ran the scan again at reboot and it found 6 files it could not kill, but at least now I knew what they were. So I rebooted with BartPE and deleted them. Voila, no more problems. A star for you.

Carr, I had tried the removal from their website, but when I tried to download the file, my Panda Antivirus identified it as a virus, so I decided not to download it.

As always, thanks to all for the suggestions.

bygeek, sorry I missed HJT, wasnt paying attention;)
But again, have someone else read the log if you haven't done so, you never know.
