Hello,
I feel so stupid. I upgraded an old customer to be able to buy a third party endpoint for a doorphone.

Trying to register the account and all I get is 405 Method not allowed whether I put the correct password in or not.
Is there some new settings in security-settings or tickbox somewhere?

I have tried from the doorphone itself, microsip and startrinity client.

License is valid and SIP-Registrar Enable is ticked. I don't see the options for blacklisting agents like I have on my server edition..

Stupid question... A SIP extension is created? And not a Avaya IP Endpoint license reserved?

Or only TCP is allowed in the LAN interface?

Or no 3rd party endpoint license available?

I'm starting to wonder if something with the upgrade went wrong or if it's something with this new release..

Yeye also set up a user with extension 880. I have tried with 4,6 and 8 digit password on both extension and user. When something you have done hundreds of times suddenly doesn't work you don't know what to do :p

Sooo I've tried so much stupid shit I don't even know what made it work.

I created a new user that got id 8021 instead of 8000, enabled remote worker, defaulted security settings and set everything to low 4 digits. I still got the same response from pbx but when I switched to TCP instead of UDP it finally turned 200.

Yes. I have not been on site to test the actual doorphone but it seems ok.

We had the same issue ourselves today.

A full monitor trace have us the hint... It said that REGISTER is not allowed for line 17...

Situation was, that no SIP domain had been configured in the LAN interface AND line 17 is a SIP trunk to a fax server that works without registration.

Either the fax SIP trunk and the IPO SIP registrar where listening on UDP port 5060. IPO 'thought' that the register message has been for the trunk.

There are many possible solutions:
- use UDP for the SIP trunk and TCP for all phones (J, IX, third party phones and softphones)
- use a different port than 5060 in the SIP trunk to fax server than that one used for endpoint registration
- configure username/password on the SIP trunk
- configure different SIP domain for SIP trunk and phone registration
