Hello
Runing Qmail -- vpopmail and things were running well.

Added new domain from an off network location and now neither local network or off network can receive email from external domains.

Tried removing new domain but that didn't work either.

Hello,
though the vqadmin I added the new domain and about 40 users.

I verified they were in the rcpthost and local domains.

All the domains on that server can send and receive from themselves and send anywhere. They can not recieve from anyone else.

That was basically it.

Also... there is no bounce email... no mail in queue.

Don't know if that helps

Hey the Daver,
That is part of my problem.. I am not sure what log to look at for this problem. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what log to look at?

Thanks,

Timm

thedaver...
I have looked at that log. Doesn't seem to be differant from the server that is working. her is the tail of that log.

Okay problem solved... We have two qmail email servers. Both were working fine. Added the other domain and the users and changed the firewall to accept their IP address since it is "off net" but didn't flush connections so it continued to work for about 45 minutes until all the connections were dropped. Then the new "non-working" rule took over that didn't allow inbound traffic to the second email server. After scrubbing the qmail server for ever we realize it had to be working right and start from the outside in.

I am sorry to have wasted anybody's time on this. It was a fire wall issue after all. Thus no log errors...etc...etc...etc.

Thanks again to thedaver!
