Recently, I can no longer double click on an attachment in any of my email messages and have WORD display the document. The document is ok, I can save it to disk and then read it, but, when I double click on the attachment from within the email, a blank (greyed out) document appears. Is there an option that I can change to allow viewing the WORD doc's from within' my emails? Thanks in advance! GC.

Can't Read WORD docs Rcvd in Emails

according to my experience(i don't know with the others) outlook really craps out when it comes to opening attachments in word format. best thing to do is still to save it then read it. i'm writing a lot here.what type of email are you using?

Thanks for the response. We were using outlook express. My machine eventually died and the replacement didn't have the same problem - even though we were still using outlook express. I imagine that uninstalling and then re-installing the app would have resolved the issue. Thanks again.
