cant read tape please help !!!

hi i was wondering if any one can help me i would like to retrieve some information from a tape. the tape it a dat 4 tape we recently installed an ultrium drive in to our server so i am unable to retrieve the data from the dat 4 tape so what we did was put the dat 4 drive it to another server also running arcserve the drive reads the tape ok and when i go to the restore wizard the tape label can be also read but when i click the + box no information comes up so I can’t do a restore. Do you think this is because the information for the tape is stored on the other server and the other edition of arcserve any help would be greatly appreciated

run a merge on the tape to populate the database with the information on the tape.
