Feeling frustrated ...

re-link throws error :

kslgen: cannot determine major/minor numbers for node /dev/inet/udp.

idbuild: kslgen had errors

have tried remaking udp with mknod to same major/minor numbers.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

This is a shotgun method that works for SCO5.0.5 and above, it might work for .4

Bring up scoadmin and run the software/system check that compares all system files to a database of originals and restores the system files to their original state. If a system file is corrupted and preventing the relink this could fix it. ***Please make sure to make notes on what was corrected. At the end of the check, a report will be displayed that shows what was changed. If you are running a system that the system files have been customized, this report will tell you what to look at if something else just quits working properly after this procedure. If your system files have been purposely modified to a great extent, I do not reccomend this procedure as it will cause more trouble than it will fix.

Thanks for all your replies

I had a guy in. He removed NIC drivers and managed to get this going again.

Thanks Again
