I am trying to put 4 lines in calling group 770 so that the AA will pick up immediately when calls come in. However, it wont let me put the lines in that group at all. I tried to put them in 771 and create an overflow but I cant put lines in there either.
This is a Legend 7.0 in key mode.

I must be missing something simple, but haven't done this in a while and am a bit rusty.

Here is the calling group info:

Make sure the lines don't have principal ownership assigning them to an extension. Print the General Trunk information and that will tell you where they are assigned.

Not owned by anyone.

Do a print of ALL of your group calling information. Those lines are currently assigned to another calling group - probably for overflow to delay when the AA answers. I use 791 for AA overflow - so the lines could be assigned to any one of the available calling group extensions. Once you locate the group - remove the lines assigned - and then you can reassign them to 770.

I did notice they are in night service, but they are not in any other calling groups.

OK, you were right. They were in group 791. I can't believe I missed that.
Thanks Tom.

They HAVE to be assigned to a group somewhere - that would be the ONLY reason you cannot assign them to 770. Night Service has no effect on that issue. You really need to do a PRINT, Group Calling, All - and post it here - or just look for the group that lines are assigned to.

I agree with Tom.

However, once you find them in another group, then I would suggest that you just leave them there and change the overflow to do what you want it to. (On the order of a 1 second time out to overflow)
