When I try to print the *.lis report when running an SQR program on a PS panel, I get SQR6001 Error reading the printer file. (9) Bad file descriptor.

I select LPT1 for the printer for the output destination, and it prints garbage on the printer while getting the above error. It looks like that if the report name is given other than default in declare-report in setup section in the SQR program, and if the 'use-report report-name' is used in the program, somehow it is not possible to rerout the report from the local file to the printer, using the PS panel option of output destination.

How do you print a report or mutliple report declared with declare-report?

I read manuals and the SQR book, but somehow there is no explanation.
Could you please someone help?

My guess is that you have a problem with the pssqr.ini file. It sounds like the ini file may be looking for a file that contains printer characteristics. I would verify that you are getting the same results when generating the report in two, three, and (if you are on version 8) four tier. If you have the same problem in all 3 modes, then I would start looking at printer definitions in the pssqr.ini to see if a path can't be resolved.

Good luck

Hi Wannabegood,

I've gotten the same error by writing 2 Declare-Report and 2 Declare-Printer. Have you solve the problem yet? If so, please reply to my message.
Thanks a lot.
