I have a setup that looks somewhat like this:
Switch4<-trunk->CoreRouter1<-trunk->Switch2<-trunk->Switch3
- All on VLAN10 (trunks are Tagged for V10 and switch ports are untagged V10).
- Default VLAN is not used.
- ON V10-> CoreRouter - 10.1.10.1 / SW4 is .4 / SW3 is .3 / SW 2 is .2
- Default gateway on all switches is set to 10.1.10.1
I can ping to and from SW4 and SW2. I can't ping from SW3 and I can't ping to it. If I connect PC's in to SW3 they can ping and function fine but I can't ping them from anything connecting to SW4 or SW2.
If it helps SW2,4 are HP, SW3 is Cisco.
Let me know if I missed anything that could help.
