Installed System Platform 6.3.0 successfully on a DL360G8, but after system rebooted I could not ping services port 192.11.13.6 or open browser to continue upgrade to 6.3.4. So far I've rebooted manually - server and laptop, checked for duplicate address conflict, re-installed SP from newly burned disks, still no resolve. It's almost like after reboot the services nic is disable. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Your nic card may of gone down seen this on a session manager install if you can access the server shell

Type the following command into the shell:

ifconfig

STEP1
Press "Enter." The command will list the network interfaces known to Linux. Find the one corresponding to the Ethernet card you need to enable or disable; its name will start with "eth."

Enable the Ethernet card by typing the following command into the shell:

ifconfig eth0 up

Replace "eth0" by the name of the network interface obtained in Step 1. Press "Enter."

Disable the Ethernet card by typing the following command into the shell:

ifconfig eth0 down

Replace "eth0" by the name of the network interface, obtained in Step 1. Press "Enter."

Can you get in through the management port (eth0, RIGHT side)?

Maybe a silly question but since the ports are swapped/backwards from the G7 are you sure you are plugged in to the correct port?

@scotthdiv. You got it. Yesterday I found that out by accident. I was plugging into every port just to see what I'd get. Got my ping thru what I perceived as eth3 which I thought was strange but at that point I didn't care, I needed to get the server loaded. After SP and CM were installed, a tech I was talking to told me about the reverse nic order. So on G8's reading left to right it's eth3, eth2, eth1, eth0. This was my first time with the G8 and let me say they are screaming fast. Last time I had to load SP and CM on a G7 it took 4 to 6 hours. The G8, 1 hour. Awesome.
