If you can get into PDT, check those addresses for corruption.
But, Get ready to rebuild that system. I hope you have a good backup on a PCMCIA drive or backup on remote disk some where. If you don't, print out and capture the whole system. Use ghtrout's conversion tools to make a database that you can restore to your newly reloaded PBX. Be sure (if you have to...) to erase the memory daughter board of all data. Run the "utility" tool when reloading and run "diagnostics". Good luck.

Go For It Even If It's Impossible !

Oh boy! That EDD CLR command can be very dangerous. Be ready to reload this machine if it doesn't come back to life.

If you don't know PDT, don't even attempt to play. You might want to have your local vendor come over (with spare parts and after hours...) for a visit and diagnose what is going on with your system. Sounds like a memory error or the SSC is failing. Being prepared with some spare parts is the only way to handle this, and some experience isn't to bad either.

As per my little experience, EDD Failure is one of the most serious errors CS1000 can have...

What I'd do is to log into LD 43 and do a "DAT". We need to see what databases are present. My guess is that you only have the internal backup preset on the SSC card.

The database might be a few Months old, but I'd get a backup done onto my computer by going into LD 143 from a serial port i.e. TTY 0 with X Modem and do a XBK to receive that copy.

It's better to have any backup as long as it's a good copy. I did this recently on a release 24.25 opt 11c.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

when you do the DAT you should see somethng like this:

.dat
DATABASE ISSUE DATE(d/m/y)/TIME SIZE(recs) SEQNO
Main 300 02/12/2010 at 05:01:06 90 3225
Secondary 300 01/12/2010 at 05:01:02 90 3224
IntBackup 300 02/12/2010 at 05:01:06 90 3225
PCMCIA database not accessible.
Current external backup is on PCMCIA drive B

That is the same problem I had!. Please do the XBK first!. However, I do realise that the internal backup stored on the SSC card is dated 29 June 2007!.

Also, your SSC CARD ISN'T THE PROBLEM!. The daughterboard is corrupted and needs to be reformatted and your V23.35 software reloaded back onto it, before you restore your image that is still on the SSC card.

The instructions on the daughterboard restore are in my guide.

ok how do i reformat the daughter board? do i reload the daughterboard using the XBK file?

Firebirdscrambler how do i get to your guide? I need all the help i can get at this.

Hey Camaro, if you have never performed a reload, you should get some help with it. It takes a few experienced steps to get one done. Your questions tell me you don't have that experience. Call your local Nortel vendor and ask what they charge to get this done. And ask if they have the tools to get this done. It should take no more then 2 hours OT, and don't throw a fit, cuz most of the time he's just gonna be watching the screen loading.
Firebird is right. If you already replaced one SSC, and the problem came back, it's your daughter board.
Eh, I kinda mentioned all this in my first post...
