Can't paste data from Webpage

Hope someone can help
Running windows 2000 and IE6

Trying to Copy text from webpage to word and its stopped working all of a sudden. I can copy and paste into Notepad and then into word. Weird!

Silly question, but have you tried Paste Special?

I came up with all kinds of one liners for that one, but still resisted it. Anyway, have you tried?

Yep I tried don't have the option

Then, there is something seriously wrong with your install of Microsoft Word. Option being greyed out is understandable, not having the option is bewildering.

I hope you are not just right clicking in word and are actually going to the Edit menu.

BTW, are you running Norton antivirus? If so, have you turned off Office plug-in?

Ooops did go to the edit menu but didn't expand it so didn't see paste special.
User gone home now so will have to try in the morning hopefully this will work
