Hi!
My problem is that suddenly i can't open some of my forms.
I also can't delete then. Exporting the to another database
would not solve the problem too.
I wrote a VB code to that form and when i enter it i get
messages saying "last action was canceled"
Please help me.
I did those forms all over again but i still get the same problem

Without seeing your code you are getting Error 2501 in which you are trying to do something before another action could be carried out? So unless you are anticipating that action you can add the 2501 to your error handler for the procedure or form that is generating the error. Since you don't know why this is happening then I would not just slap a handler in there for 2501.

Try stepping through your code and you will then see where the error is generating from and handle it accordingly.

Thanks.. but that is not my main problem.
The problem is that i can't open some of my forms(also in
design view),form that i could open before.
The message appears when i am in the VB editor looking
at the code of that form. It is very strange
If there is a way i can post my mdb file,so you can see
my problem please tell me.

p.s - I saw a message with the same problem as mine-
look for - "You Canceled the previous operation"

Can't you copy and post your code for one of the forms that is giving you the problem? Also, did you try to compact and repair the database? Also, did you try to repair your Access installation if you where able to open your app before now all of a sudden you can't? However, it sounds to me your code is wrong.

I tried compact and repair and it didn't help.
The code is not worng because it happen to several forms.
Look at the message "You Canceled the previous operation"
(by searching with keywords

I have had this problem many, many times before (with Acc 2000). Compacting and repairing has never worked for me before when a form(s) won't open). Hopefully, you have a backup of your database. Try reverting back to your old copy. I may be wrong, and there may be a way around this, but I have yet to find it. Hope this is ok. If not, just let me know.

Thanks alot!
I saw many programers had this problem and i checked
all kinds of forums but i didn't find an answer yet.
I hope some day i will!

if you can get your hands on a copy of office xp, this may find the problem, office 2000 often misses problems when compacting and repairing, if that doesn't work try changing the affected forms names, it has worked for me before allowing me to at least save some of the code, otherwise you may be out of luck.

If you do find a way of saving corrupted forms please leave the answer on this thread.

adialon,
This is one of the bizzare bugs in Access 2000. I was bitten by it so many times that my solution is to stick with Access 97, I've never had any problems like it since.

I have not found any way to copy/save the corrupted
forms. I'm lossing it!!!
I keep on doing them all over again.

adialon,
You might want to check the service pack level--MS may have fixed this bug. When I noticed it, I did the lastest sp's and it didn't help (this was nearly 2 years ago when Access 2000 was very new).

At that time, I backed up not just every day--but every 20 minutes or so! It was that bad. After continued frustration, I did all development in '97 and converted to 2000 at last minute, and did testing then rolled it out. This worked ok because it seems that the issue has to do with design view--something happens involving the pointers to the object's class module. This was one of the major changes in 2000--the vba enviromnmt became an entirely separate app, and the communication between the Form in Access and the Class Module in the separate vba envirinment was not very good, and pointers got trashed, and this, in my studied opinion, is where the corruption was caused.

Thank alot!
But i did not understand where i can get this service pack.

adialon,
At MS support they have the latest service packs,

I haven't been there lately, but as I recall you can do a search by product and the service packs are in that products download area.
