Hi there:

I got a strange error:
my program contains a mainmenu file, everyone will use this file as the main interface.
when users want to run the program, it prompt for database file to use, it's foxpro 2.6 under Sco Openserver 5.07.
the mainmenu file contain the following:
set view to workord
set resource to /usr/username/foxuser.dbf

does anybody has the same error?

Thanks in advance

Two possibilities
A network directory where files reside is not available - user not logged in or no priviledges.

The view assumes the starting point is a particular directory. You may need to add the line SET DEFAULT TO c:\mydir before your SET VIEW TO workord

Problem solved.
the view file actually call a database file, but the database file is corruped, when i trace, it give me a "not a database file" error. thanks cricket
