Hi there,

I'm using windows 2000 pro, some file and folders are encrypted. For some reson I lost my profile, and all those documents seems unaccessible any more, neither open nor copy.
Although I found "my document and setting.bak", and recovered part of my setting, but the encrypted files still can't be opened. What shall I do now, those files are very important.
Thank a lot.

Is your machine a member of a domain? If so, their would be a EFS Recovery agent specified in group policy. You could use that agent to recover those files...

I don't quite understand this. My computer is on the company's network, and there are three other computers connected to each other, I'm the only user of this computer.
I never back up this computer before, Can I recover it and How to do that?

Thanks
