Can't open AutoCAD 2006 LT.

Hi,

We have a Windows Xp pro machine, which has AutoCad 2006 on it. When we try and open up AutoCad it just doesn't open, get no errors, nothing running in the processes just doesn't do anything. Tried a repair that didn't fix it so removed it and re-installed still the same thing happening. Logged on as different users including Admin but still the same thing, any ideas?

For starters, does your machine meet the minimum system requirements for AutoCAD 2006? If it does, then the next step would be to try to attempt an installation when the antivius is disabled. I have personally seen when AutoCAD has failed to respond because of this very issue. In fact its a good idea to temporarily disable antivirus whenever you install new software. The next step would be to install the service pack 1 for AutoCAD 2006. The link is
I suggest these methods first because they are probably the least invasive to your system. Hopefully this helps.
