Can't open an Excel Attachment, Have to save First

Hello all!!

Thanks for looking at my Probelm.

But I'm using windows 98, and I'm having problems opening Excel attachments.
I have to save them to my hard drive before I can open them.

Does anybody know of a fix, so I can double clik on the the attachment on the email to open these.

as far as i now it 's an security issue. you have to tell your emailclient (outlook express?) that you want it to open .xls files with a doubleclick.
i don't have outlook express here, so i can't tell you exactly how.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook, would you know where is in in there??

In Excel, try Tools / Options / General / Untick 'Ignore Other Applications'
