Server crashed and the IP's for all PC's were changed.
Using acces as a front end for the SQL DB (ADP file)with the msde 2000 engine
Restored the SQL files to the orignal location as well as the ADP file
When trying to open up the ADP file get an error that the file can't be found - error connecting to server 192.168.x.x (Old IP scheme)

I have tried configuring a PC with the old IP's and still get the same error.

It appears that macros are being run at start pointing to the old server but when trying to edit the file can't save it as it as the old server can't be found :(

Any ideas on how to handle this type problem ?

Open your adp and click Cancel when prompted for user name and password (while keeping Shift pressed).

File - Connection

Enter the server IP in the server name box, user name, password, then test the connection.

Then do a search for some hard-coded IP and change it. To do that, open any module, press Ctrl+F, enter the IP or servername (just in case), then search the entire project.

I'm not aware of connection string changes through macros, but who knows... you should check the macros line by line...
And when you have the time change the darn macros to code, you'll get rid of many problems.

Should work...
