can't logon CDE

Hello,
I just installed AIX 5L.
after reboot, I set date and time and selected 'login to AIX 5L' from the menu in console.
but the CDE doesn't show up, only console login screen shows up.
what should I do?
is there any way to set to start with CDE ?

I already installed CDE.

Try smit dtconfig and change to CDE if it is not already set, or /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig '-e'

Try the standard [tt]startx[/tt] command... what it gives?
