Can't join NT workstation to 2k domain

I keep getting the error that the domain controller cannot be found. How can I get around this and join a nt workstation to the win 2k domain?

This is usually WINS/DNS settings.
Make sure you check tehm first

Do not tick the 'Create a computer account in the domain' box, leave all that blank. Instead, create a computer account in AD beforehand.

1. Make sure you can ping the server ip address and the workstation is properly configured (gateway, dnsserver .. etc)
2. Add Entry in your DNS server for the DC ip
3. Don't change the computer name and the domain in the same time, change computer name, reboot, then join the domain
4. Check all cables ? (Duh)

Do not enter the full DNS name like lab.net,enter only lab in the domain textbox
