Cant install service pack

Guys,

I am having a problem with a PC that I cant install any service pack on. I think it has a virus/worm, but I have scanned it twice with an up to date norton and it finds nothing. The install falls over saying that it cannot find SPOOLSV.EXE. Also, I cannot see the same file on the PC, so I think the problem lies there.

Maybe there are remnants of a trojan on your computer (?) See :

Thanks PAnderson for the info. Ran a chck on the data and could find no trace of any of the details fond in the article.

I think it is time ofor a rebuild.
