Whenever I try to install Frontpage extensions on my personal web server, I'm told. "You must be a member of the administrators group!" Heck, I own the computer and the disks! I should BE the administrators group. How do I join?
Thanks for your help.

I assume this machine is a NT Server 4.0. If not then...

Your Login is Not a member of this group. So if you login in as BrunstonG say, that user name has to be in the “Administrator” Group or the “Domain Admins” Group. This is done on the NT Server In “User Manager for Domains”. This group is the only one allowed FULL control of the network which is what most installation programs require.
“User Manager for Domains” is found in the “Administrative Tools” folder under “Start” button “Programs”
But this should not be attempted unless you are familiar with NT administration.

The easiest way to fix this probelm is to log in as Adminstrator Of course you need its password.

Did lose time with Frontpage Server Extension. Would I have known what I know now, I would have learned ASP directly!

I still use FP which is very good for general use.
