hello folks...
I am installing a new (used) 8X24 DR5 and startalk. The switch seems fine all the stations work fine but I can not initalize startalk. No matter what F9** codes I use I get "inactive feature." these have been my troubleshooting steps thus far:
note: when lifting or punching down pairs or making hardware changes the switch and startalk are powered down.
I have changed the ports used from 123 (ext 243) to others (ext 229, & 230) and recycled the power with the same result.
I CAN dial into the port (ext 243) and get "Log: " and have tried 0000 and the station+0000 and 120000 and 1020000 and 10020000 and only get "invalid password."
I went into programming **266344 and then port status and at port 123 it says STRTK 243 and some other things when i press "state" it says "idle" so I assume that the switch sees Startalk.
I have tried lifting and repunching the cables to the RJ11 and tried three different station cables, that I know to be functional, from the RJ11 to startalk.
I have tried many other things but I think that the steps described above are the most pertinent.
Any ideas????? Any more troubleshooting steps I can take?
Thank you all for all the help you have provided me in the past and for any help you can provide me now.
michael
