Can't import Word

I haven't been able to import Word into IDCS--I've tried Place, cut/past and drag 'n drop. Cut and paste kinda-sorta worked, but the table was a very pixelated graphic that didn't print well. In Show Import Options, Remove Text and Table Formatting is unchecked.

We've moved to IDCS because it supposedly works great w/ Word, especially w/tables [& boy did i get told in Adobe's ID forum when suggesting otherwise].

Am I leaving something checked/unchecked, or is there a plug-in not plugged in, etc.? Please advise, and thanks...

The word file has to be saved as "Word 2000".

I've had word file do that as well, it turned out to be a bit of rubish at the top of the file (sort of like a Header, but not), once deleted it came in fine.

I've also had word files were I've had to delete all of the images etc.

try making a word document yourself and fill it with type, then see if your can bring it in.
