Okay...so I just recently aqquired After Effects after using Premiere 6.5 for the longest time.
I have a project which runs about 2hrs, 40 minutes, edited in Premiere. The project uses about two dozen cross-dissolve transitions, which I applied in Premiere.
After assembling the footage in Premiere, I imported the project into After Effects 6.0 for color correction, masks, matte work, etc.
After all the above tweaks I took a 30 minute section of the project and rendered it back to DV to take a look at the final result, and none of the cross-dissolves from Premiere are there anymore. The layers are listed in the project bin (they came into AE as layers when I imported the project) but they don't act as transitions anymore... in fact they don't seem to have any effect on the final video at all. It's as if they were never applied.
Is there something I"m doing wrong, or missing?
Please don't tell me I have to reconstruct every single one of these dissolves from scratch in AE....
