cant hyperterminal into opt11c

trying to hyperterminal into an 11c using port 0 NORTEL null modem through a db 25 to db 9 connector with no joy.

any suggestions?

no joy there either....

make sure your terminal emulation is set to vt100 or some other vtxxx instead of the default ansi. port 1 and 2 are usually 2400 baud, port 0 is whatever the faceplate is set too, or just use 9600 n-8-1.

make sure your 25/9 connector is not a nul modem connector or cable as well. You should be able to take a standard 25/9 modem cable, put a null modem on either side and connect directly to your laptop. make sure your baud rate setting is correct for the port, usually 9600 and it should work. if it hasn't been connected to anything for a long time, it should still work, but you may try an INI, but I doubt you would need to.

Thanks for all the help it was a bad SDI port on the 11c cabinet....
