Dear all,

Im facing this problem with one customer,

Two BCM in two different cities and they are connected via a DSL link. One site has digital sets and the other ip and digital. There is no problem when calling digital to digital but when calling ip to digital I can hear the caller but he cant hear me. However I noticed that when call from a digital to an ip softphone I find no proble.

Any Ideas

Check the default gateway on the IP set. Are they on a different subnet / VLAN than the BCM?

No they are on the same subnet. The thing is the call is established and it reachs the other side but when I start a call from IP to digital, He (on digital set) can not hear my voice (coming from IP set)

Make sure your firewall is not blocking ports 28000 through 28255 and ports 51000 through 51200.

All codecs are set to defult and the latest patch is installed. There is no firewall in the way.

I thought there might be an issue with the IP sets firmware but I also upgraded it to latesest firmware

Call setup and voice packets take different paths. Call setup is between the the servers while the talk path is established between the phones if using two IP phones and between the server (BCM) and IP phone if using a digital and IP set as in your case. Insure the defauly gateway and mask on the IP phone matches what is programmed on the server it is registered to.

The solution was to add the Defult gateway on the IP telephone sets
