Hi,

When I right click on Local Area Connection to go in properties ans error occurs!! It says "Unexpected error occured"!! Somebody know what to do?

thanks

Did this just happen out of the blue. Have you installed any network HW or SW recently that might of caused this problem. If so I would restart the PC and tap F5 at starup to give you the different startup options. Choose Last Know Good Configuration. If not I would of course try to restart the PC and see what happens.

It happens even after I rebooted the server... I can't tell exacly when the problem came out... I tried yesterday to go in the Local Area Connection propeties but I never managed to get in... and there is this error since!

Have you checked your Event Viewer for errors?

Also, if you have already rebooted your computer and logged in fine, then using Last Know Good Configuration will be useless to you.

Have you tried to access the network properties by double clicking on the flashing icons and selecting Properties?

This might happen because of a group policy in force ....

Hi all,

I reinstalled Windows 2000 with same configuration and now I can go into my Local Area Connection properties.

I think I just got a windows file that was corrupted...

Thanks for your help
