Can't get VB6 to load a Crystal report (version 8)

Reports were created using Crystal version 6 I think, after modifing them using CR version 8 they won't load, I get an error message 20525 cannot load report. If I don't modify the report in CR8 it loads fine???

Do you mean it won't load in an application? The application may be using V6, which can't run a V8 report. Ken Hamady

The application may be using the Crystal v6 runtime engine, which can't run Crytsal V8 reports. Ken Hamady

How is the engine updated? I am having the same issue (but from v 5 to 8).

Are you using CR within an application?
Replace the components and references in the project with the new files. Ken Hamady
