I just set up DNS on my win NT4.0 server sp6a. I can browse the internet except for some .org sites. It is funny, I can get to but can't get to (I am at a behavioral health hospital) ... I can get to the emotions site using its IP address but not the url ... any help would be appreciated...thanks,
Bill

Try adding a forward lookup to your DNS for the Domain emotionsanonymous.org. Add the and point it to the IP of their webserver. Not 100% sure that will work, but I think it will...

that may work, but do I have to do that for all of the .org sites that don't work?

I would hope not. I'd check with your ISP...
Question, I'm not real familiar with NT DNS, do you set up some kind of Forwarders to the ISP DNS, if the local DNS doesn't know the name? I know this to be true with 2k, and I don't see how it would work otherwise....

Thanks,

How do you have dns setup on your tcp/ip settings of the server. Should point to itself first, then you isp dns servers second.
