I have a client running 9.1 software and is using VM Pro.
They have a hunt group that has announcements turned on playing at the defaults 10 and 20 seconds. They want the option to give to the callers a chance to press a digit to go to VM for the group.
How do I get that to happen?
I don't see a break out option in announcements?
Puzzled

In the VM Pro client navigate to Specific start points > groups > if group is not shown right clack and add "Still Queued action,if shown select the "Still Queueud" action.
Add a menu and select digit 1 and record a message prompt for this action, also set a timeout of 4 second for this action.
Add a Leave mail action and set the group mailbox as the target.
Connect the option 1 of the menu to the transfer action and leave the timeout open (no further actions connected.
Save your settings and test, while hearing the second (repeated) message you get your recorded message and pressing 1 transfer you to the group mailbox.

and also, in Manager, under groups/announcements, make sure that "synchronize announcements" is turned OFF. Otherwise DTMF in the queued and still queued areas will do nothing.

I'm curious why Scansource wouldn't help. I've been told Avaya has insisted dealers/customers now buy IPOSS before allowing Scansource to assist with anything after sale. I thought that had changed.

Anyone else experience this with Scansource or other distributors?

I've called scansource before and a lot of times I knew more than they did.

It's not their place to provide ad hoc training to people who should have already undertaken the relevant training to become a BP, Tech support yes, talking people through fairly simple configuration...no.

You wouldn't buy a car then ask the dealership to teach you how to drive it :)

That's what the OP was talking about, what are you talking about?
This is not a tech support issue :)

I thought I asked a simple question, but it's Friday afternoon and I think I'll let this die on the vine.
