For whatever reason, I do not have the repository file showing up in my crystal reports standard version. Could it be it was never installed? Basically did does not show up in data explorer. How can I get it or install it so I can see it in data explorer and use it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that link to the comparison, but I am still not convinced the standard version has no repository. I say that because I am teaching myself crystal reports from one the SAMS Teach Yourself books and it says quote "Nearly all of the excercises in this book can be completed with any Crystal Reports version". Suggesting regardless it is Standard or Professional. There is actually a whole chapter devoted to the repository and already several references to it, and I am only in chapter 5. Do you know for sure there is no repository in the standard version?

Well, regardless of what SAMS says, I'm fairly certain it's not a feature available in Standard. But, just to check, see if your system has the following dll's:

repositoryadapterwrapperw.dll
repositoryclientom.dll
repositoryclientom_res_en.dll
repositoryexplorer.dll
repositoryexplorer_res_en.dll

If not, try updating your installation and see if you have the option of adding the repository files.

I am not seeing those dll's on my computer, so looks like its not a part of the standard version. Stupid book, guess the authors don't even know the difference between the versions. I was thinking if I got ahold of a repository.mdb file it would work, but looks like I would need those dll's as well for it to work. Thanks for your help.

I am using CR 9 Standard and am annoyed that I can't find the repository. Before purchasing several copies, we called Business Objects and were assured that the only difference between Standard and Pro is that Standard is Windows-only. I followed the link provided by FVTrainer, and the Product Comparison chart indicates that repository is included in CR9 Standard.

But I can't find it. Any suggestions?
