Hi All,

I have an issue with Business Objects full client v5.1.8

I have a users pc that can tnsping and see our Oracle Repository database, however when Business Objects tries to login, the user is proimpted for a username and password, but then they get the Cannot Find Repository Database error.

How can this be so if the TNSNAMES.ORA is correct and the pc can also TNSPING the database?!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

A.

It's possible if the database that their BOMain.key file is pointing to doesn't actually have a repository database in it. Or if the user id being used in the BOMain.key doesn't have privileges on the database to the tables.

Hi Steve.

The useer has the exact same BOMain Key as everybody else including myself.

Cheers.

Well, if that's true, then the only thing left is to make sure they have the same Oracle setup. Is the TNSNames file the same. Do they have a SQLNET.ora file that perhaps they shouldn't have?
