Using Novell 4.11 with W98 Workstations.

Have a Techtronix Phaser 850 on NW and using Jet Direct.

Had the printer serviced and I need the printer IP address for the printer configuration. I don't know where to look.

Please any help,
Thanks
Alan

Tried that,

But the ip settings changed to 0's after the printer was serviced.

Thanks
Alan

There are a couiple of ways to configure the TCPIP Address on a Phaser 850...

You should be able to set the TCPIP Address and Subnet Mask via the Front Panel on the Printer. You can go to the following link to download the Phaser 850 Networking manual in PDF format...

- or -

You can download PhaserShare v3.10, which is like JetAdmin for Phaser Printers. Here is the link to download the app...

ftp://ftp.tekcolor.com/ftp_dir/340,350,360,380,540,540PLUS,550,560,600,740,750,780,840,850/W9NT2000/3.10/phasershare.exe

Good luck!

If you were using Novell with the JetDirect, run JetAdmin, and it should still have the original settings - just don't update the database, or you're likely to reset to the Zeros the printer is showing now. You can get the MAC address from the status sheet from the jetdirect, and reset the IP address using JetAdmin. It's not hugely obvious how, bit it IS doable! (Been there, done it a couple of times!) Good luck!
