Trying to run a conversion from 5.2 to 6.3.

System is SQL Server / Windows.

If I launch an instance based CLI and type "run MSC000", it runs to completion just fine.

If I place MSC000 into the Mincom Scheduler via msloadcnv.pl when it runs I'm getting an error when it opens MSTPARAM, with file not found.

mscnvprg.pl is picking up the entries from the conversion.tbl (to_dir and from_dir) OK, I added some extra logging into mscnvprg.pl to verify:

MOEDE INFO 20080623 222348 Started mscnvprg.pl on hmcdtdenapp01 Args:
msc000
MOEDE INFO 20080623 222348 MIMS work =
E:\Mincom\Instance\ellipse\ELLTST\work.
MOEDE INFO 20080623 222348 from =
e:\mincom\instance\ellipse\elltst\work\convdata.
MOEDE ERROR 20080623 222350 The command run.exe MSC000 >
E:\Mincom\Instance\ellipse\ELLTST\log\msc000.log
2>&1 failed

However, when MSC00 runs:

MSC000 Program Version = AE0 Revision = 1
================================================================================

I/O error : file 'MSTPARAM'
error code: 3/5 (ANS85), pc=0, call=1, seg=0
13 File not found

Anyone have any clues ?

Does the MSTPARAM file exist in the conversion work directory? And have you run the report mode conversion?

I have generated the list of tasks by running mscnvtask.pl (I think that's it, would have to check the doco) in report mode and it generated the input_file and utility_file files.

MSTPARAM does exist in the work directory.

The odd thing is that mscnvprg.pl finds MSTPARAM and processes the parameters in it. If I don't have MSTPARAM in work, mscnvprg.pl reports an error. So I know it's there and being read.

If I manually run "run MSC000" from the work directory, it works - processes MSTPARAM and MSU00030 and generates the appropriate MSN.

It's just when I try to use the Mincom scheduler that it fails.

Try also putting it in the convwork directory.

Are you using BES, or mssched.pl as your conversion scheduler?

I put MSTPARAM in all of work, FROM_DIR and TO_DIR (as set in conversion.tbl) and still failing.

Using BES as the scheduler.
