cant find driver for console framebuffer host : XXXX

Hi all ,

yesterday i tried to de-grade Solaris box from 9 to solaris 8
i am geeting abouve message though i could upload solaris 8 and its in working condition . but i cant go for DTLOGIN (i mean NO CDE or Openview is coming up)

please advise

upgrades and downgrades sometimes do not work (about 25% I guess), it will be hard to find out why, maybe someting in /devices point's to the wrong device, maybe packes do not interoperate, because Sol9 packages aren't removed correctly etc.
I recommend to backup data you need from this host and do a new installation; this will save you a lot of time...
