Can't find DCE Server !!!!!!!!!Help Meeeeeeeee

Hello there. Happy new year to you all. My boss is running Windows98, He frequently updates hid windows98 via the net. Recently when he switches on his Computer it freezes up and he geta a message saying that the DCE server cannot be found. After pressing a few keys then its OK. Have anybody seen this problem before. What is the solution. I think the error was DCE server. Might have been different, anyway it started with D and it was a 3 letter word.

If its not a required service then remove it from Network neighborhood - services

Not familiar with "DCE Server" - do you have any additional information?
