I'm trying to create a mod_jserv per the jakarta-tomcat user guide. I'm supposed to build it using apxs... but apxs does not appear to be in the Apache distribution as the Tomact manual says it should be... I've installed Redhat 7.1 and the Apache server is up and running. I've also downloaded the source distribution from the Apache site... and there are no files with apxs there either. Any ideas where I can find apxs?
Thanks,
EH-

Hi,

Actually apxs (Apache Extension Support) is in the apache-devel rpm for redhat 7.1. So you just need to install that (it ends up in /usr/sbin - i.e. /usr/sbin/apxs).

You can get that rpm from --> ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/7.1/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/apache-devel-1.3.19-5.i386.rpm .
