Hi!
I am using Legato 6.1.1.
I get an error message "can't fetch old volume" when I tries to mount tapes to a device, either if is it empty or full.
Also when a tape is loaded into a device it dont starts to read or write. The device is in some kind of loop "loading volume into rd=srv01:\\Tape2". It is like it never the label is verified.
Any tip what to do?

Has your system crashed or been reloaded without stopping Networker before this started happening?
It looks like your media database is corrupt.
If you stop Networker, rename the mm directory to something else, copy your .res files, restart Networker, run an mmrecov (using the information in your bootstrap report that you keep safely stored), then try to run a backup, you should be ok.

The media databas was corrupt and your tip was succesful. Thanks a lot!
